Apostille Agent Services

What is Apostille/Authentication?
An Apostille or Authentication certifies the authenticity of the seals and signatures of the officials on various documents in order to be recognized in other countries. An apostille certificate is issued by the Secretary of State and is attached to the original document so that it will be accepted in another specific country.
The Hague Convention
The Hague Convention of 1961 is an international treaty to simplify the authentication process of public documents to be used in participating nations. Only these “Hague Convention countries” recognize the apostille certification. The U.S. signed this treaty in 1981 and currently over 90 countries all over the world are the members of the convention.
The Secretary of State
Depending on the origin of the document, it may need to go to the Secretary of State in another state. For example, if you got married in Oregon now, but you were born in Ohio, your marriage certificate will be apostilled by the Oregon Secretary of State, but your birth certificate must be apostilled by the Ohio Secretary of State.
